DRIVING OFFENCES
Impaired Driving or Over 80 BAC:
Section 320.14 of the Criminal Code of Canada:
Operating a conveyance while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or a combination of both, or having an illegal blood alcohol concentration (BAC). Penalties can include fines, imprisonment (up to 10 years), and driving prohibitions.
Speeding:
Section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), outlines the offence of speeding and associated penalties.

Section 320.13 of the Criminal Code of Canada:

Dangerous Operation Causing Death: If the dangerous operation results in the death of another person, it carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
Driving While Disqualified:
Section 259 of the Criminal Code of Canada:
Driving while having a court-ordered prohibition in place, such as after a previous conviction for a driving offence. Penalties can include fines and imprisonment.
Failing to Stop for a Peace Officer:
Section 320.17 of the Criminal Code of Canada:
Failing to stop a vehicle or vessel when pursued by a peace officer without reasonable excuse. Penalties can include fines and imprisonment.
